We will sail in our fast sailboat Pogo 44. In orthodrome it would be a loss of about 500 nm. 

In the trade wind season, it is likely that we will go down very fast, with averages of 12 knots, top speeds of 16-18, and receiving the wind from the starboard quarter.

En época de alisios lo probable es que bajemos muy rápidos, con medias de 12 nudos, velocidades puntas de 16-18, y recibiendo el viento por la aleta de estribor.
